A nursing continuing education program addressing principles of shared decision making and ethical conflicts related to end-of-life care decisions for pediatric patients. It addresses goals of care, nurse’s role in decision making and pain and symptom management, and methods to help nurses gain competence with and formulate a plan of care for patients and their families.
